May 13, 2004
Charlotte, NC - May 13, 2004 - Brouwer by Jacobsen has added an industry expert in farm equipment to direct its sales and product distribution worldwide. Kevin Roggatz has experience with Case IH and AGCO, and has a sharp focus on customer service.

"At Brouwer we work hard everyday to be able to offer our customer the finest equipment, parts and service," says Joe Thompson, vice president of sales, Brouwer. "Kevin's knowledge, experience and enthusiasm are a perfect fit for this brand as we continue to make advancements for the sod farming industry."

Since its founding in 1972, Brouwer has been a leader in the sod industry. The company is known for its leadership in equipment innovation and its commitment to sod farmers, producers and users.

The last US Census reported that over one-quarter million acres of sod are harvested each year. The industry is growing as consumers realize the value of sod installment for homes, business and facilities worldwide. Turf grass acts as a natural air and water filter, protects from erosion, provides cool air and adds beauty value to property.

Brouwer provides sod farmers across the globe with the most advanced equipment to grow, maintain and harvest sod efficiently.

"The opportunity to work with Brouwer and its dedicated customers is extremely exciting for me," says Roggatz. "Brouwer already has a solid product line-up and plans to continue introducing new technology like RoboMax to the industry. This allows us to offer sod farmers new ways to reduce costs and increase profits."

The RoboMax is designed to significantly reduce harvesting labor costs by producing up to 1,200 sq yards an hour of 16" or 24" small rolls, with a single operator. It is scheduled to debut in July 2004.

Roggatz will step into his position immediately. He will be working from the company's facilities in Johnson Creek, WI and can be contacted at (920) 699-2000.
