Cessna Celebrates Delivery of 200th CJ2 to Unijet

April 08, 2004

Wichita, KS - April 8, 2004 - Cessna Aircraft Company has delivered its 200th Citation CJ2 to Unijet, a leading European charter operation based at the Le Bourget Airport in France.

During the delivery ceremony, Trevor Esling, Cessna's Director of International Citation Sales, congratulated Unijet on their successful charter operation. "Unijet is a very respected name in Europe, and we are pleased that they have put their confidence in Cessna. We look forward to serving them and their customers with Citations."

Established in 1967, Unijet currently operates seven aircraft that meet customers' long-range, mid-size and entry-level aircraft needs. Unijet took delivery of their first Citation, also a CJ2, in July 2003. Citation CJ2 unit number 200 is Unijet's second Citation. It is anticipated that each CJ2 will fly approximately 500 hours per year.

"We have been operating our first CJ2 for about six months, and our customers have been very pleased with it," said Unijet's President Dannys Famin. "The two features our customers comment on the most are the quiet cabin and large baggage space. An entry-level aircraft doesn't usually have much baggage space. On the CJ2, you can enjoy the cabin because the bags can be stored in the external baggage compartment."

Certified for single pilot operation, the CJ2 is equipped with two powerful Williams-Rolls FJ44-2C engines delivering 2,400 pounds of takeoff thrust per side. It will cruise at 410 knots and climb directly to 45,000 feet. The CJ2's Collins Pro Line 21 avionics system offers the very latest technology available in business aviation such as two 8 x 10 inch liquid crystal displays, digital autopilot and a dual attitude heading reference system. The CJ2 offers a six-place center-club cabin.

The Citation CJ2 was introduced at the 1998 NBAA convention, and first deliveries occurred in November 2000. The 100th CJ2 was delivered in August 2002. It was awarded steep approach certification in April 2003. To date, the CJ2 fleet has flown over 80,000 flight hours.
