Jacobsen Unveils New Collection System for Zero-Turn Mowers

October 05, 2004

Unit Designed to Make It Easy to Keep Clippings and Leaves Off Lawns

Charlotte, NC - October 5, 2004 - Jacobsen's new collection system for its zero-turn mowers makes it easier than ever to keep lawns looking lush, green and clean.

The three-bag system is capable of holding up to 11 bushels of clippings, and is spindle-driven, requiring no extra engine. The bags are made of a durable fabric that is much lighter in weight than plastic or metal units, and also easier to wash and maintain. The system mounts low on the mower's frame, maintaining a stable center of gravity for the machine.

"It's specially made for easier handling," said Tony Weber, product manager for Jacobsen Commercial Grounds Care. "The collection system is designed to make it even easier to maintain a lawn's health and appearance without compromising the mower's performance or handling in any way."

The unit will be available for Jacobsen's gasoline-powered, air-cooled mowers with 52-inch or 61-inch decks. Eligible models include those in Jacobsen's JZT-series.
