Sand Traps No Match For Jacobsen®'s Groom MasterTM-II

September 14, 2004

Second-generation machine offers more power and better control than other units

Charlotte, NC - September 14, 2004 - The new Groom MasterTM-II from Jacobsen® is the ultimate option for the heavy work that a bunker or ball field requires. The Groom Master-II offers more power and better traction than its predecessor, resulting in a vehicle that's easier to use and fatigues its operators less.

Groom Master-II, available through local Jacobsen dealers, is designed to excel at the tough tasks involved with maintaining sand traps and infields. The Groom Master-II is the only infield groomer/bunker rake with an optional three-cylinder, 19.2-horsepower Kubota diesel engine - providing more horsepower than any other unit on the market. Jacobsen, A Textron Company, also offers a model equipped with a gas-powered, two-cylinder Briggs & Stratton® VanguardTM engine delivering 18 horsepower.

With additional power also comes better handling. The Groom Master-II is the only machine on the market to feature power steering, and a series-parallel 3-wheel-drive traction system is standard. The Groom Master-II's low-profile tires further improve stability and control. To protect the environment and prevent damage to the turf, the Groom Master-II uses GreensCare biodegradable hydraulic fluid.

Available attachments include: hydraulic midmount cultivator; front blade; add-on fan rake; a rear-mount, stand-alone fan rake; drag mat; spiker; and mid-mount scarifier with full-width leveling blade.
