Winston-Salem Man Wins Jacobsen Contest; Earns Trip to NASCAR Coca-Cola 600

October 22, 2004

Charlotte, NC - October 22, 2004 - Ask Jeremy Motsinger "Where's Jake" and a huge smile is likely to spread across his face.

Motsinger, who owns and operates Motsinger Lawn & Landscaping, Winston-Salem, N.C., will be treated to an all expense paid trip to next Spring's Coca Cola 600 NASCAR race at Lowe's Motor Speedway here, as the guest of Jacobsen. The trip was the prize in the company's "Where's Jake" contest at this year's International Lawn, Garden & Power Equipment Expo, held Sept. 24-26, in Louisville, KY.

Winning a Jacobsen-sponsored contest was fitting, according to Motsinger, because he uses Jacobsen brand products in his six-year-old business. He said he's particularly happy with his 1999 vintage BOB-CAT® 48-in. hydro-drive walk-behind mower. "That mower still looks and performs like it did when I bought it," Motsinger said. "Customers can't believe it's that old and we're still using it."

Jacobsen and its commercial grounds care and turf care equipment brands -- BOB-CAT®, Bunton®, Ryan®, Steiner®, Jacobsen Commercial Grounds Care and Jacobsen Turf -- were featured in seven booths at this year's ILG & PE Expo, four indoor and three outdoor. To participate in the "Where's Jake" contest, show attendees had to visit any three of the booths and have their entry form validated. From the more than 100 qualified entries collected, Motsinger's name was drawn.

"I can't believe I won," said Motsinger. "I've never been to a NASCAR race, so I'm really looking forward to this one."
