Cal Ripken Jr. Plays for Jacobsen in Wachovia Championship Pro-Am
Charlotte, NC - April 26, 2005 - Cal Ripken Jr. played in 2,632 consecutive games earning him the distinction as the "Iron Man" of Major League Baseball, but Wednesday, May 4, Ripken will be associated with the irons of a different sport. He will be playing in the PGA TOUR's Wachovia Championship Pro-Am at the Quail Hollow Club as a guest of Jacobsen, a Textron company.

IronBirds - as well as the four youth-sized diamonds at the Ripken Youth Baseball Academy. In fact, Ripken Stadium was named Minor League Field of the Year at the 2004 Baseball Winter meetings.
Ripken will be paired with a PGA professional on Tuesday, May 3, during the pairings dinner at Ballantyne Resort. The third player in the group will also be a guest of Jacobsen.
