Cessna's Citation Sovereign Wins Flying Magazine's Editors' Choice Award

February 25, 2005

Wichita, KS - February 25, 2005 - Cessna is the recipient of Flying magazine's prestigious 2004 Editors' Choice Award for the most outstanding achievement in 2004. The award was presented to Cessna for its Citation Sovereign, the newest traditional mid-size aircraft in today's market.

According to Flying magazine's March 2005 issue, "Cessna had a very busy and successful year with three new Citation models entering service....but we single out the Sovereign because it is an all-new design, and is Cessna's first entry into the traditional midsize business jet category."

The article goes on to say, "All-new business jet designs are expensive, and a little risky because there is no track record to build on. But the Sovereign met every Cessna design objective for weight, runway requirements, climb, cruise speed and range, thus we made it an Editors' Choice for 2004."

Cessna's Chairman, President and CEO Jack J. Pelton responded to the announcement, "We are enormously proud of the recognition the Sovereign has received this year. The highly dedicated Sovereign team has done an excellent job and deserves to share the spotlight with the new business jet that we believe will be the industry's next best-seller."

Flying magazine also awarded the Garmin G1000 as a 2004 Editors' Choice Award. The all-glass, fully-integrated G1000 avionics suite is available on all current production Cessna single engine aircraft and the new Citation Mustang.
