December 15, 2005

Providence, RI – December 15, 2005 - Textron Inc.'s (NYSE: TXT) Ken Bohlen, executive vice president and chief innovation officer, has been named one of the Premier 100 IT Leaders for 2006 by IDG's Computerworld newspaper. The Premier 100 awards program honors executives who demonstrate strong leadership, creativity and commitment to resolving pressing business problems with information technology solutions.

Bohlen was selected as part of this year's class of leaders for promoting a dynamic IT program that supports Textron's global business strategy while also encouraging technology use and innovative ideas among employees.

"As a result of his focused leadership, Textron is strategically positioned to manage the current and navigate the future information technology needs of our businesses in order to more effectively compete in the global marketplace."
