Bell Helicopter Opens New Office at NAS Patuxent River, MD

Lexington Park, MD - February 2, 2006 - Bell Helicopter, a Textron company, has opened a new Business Office at Naval Air Station Patuxent River, MD. The new office will support Bell programs that are part of Naval Air Systems Command such as the H-1 (AH-1Z and UH-1Y), UAS (Unmanned Aerial Systems), VH-71 (Presidential Helicopter), and Logistics Support for all other Bell aircraft in the fleet. Support for the V-22 Osprey is conducted through a separate Bell/Boeing office in the nearby town California, MD.

Strategically located just outside Gate One at Patuxent River on Three Notch Road adjacent to the Extended Stay Motel and the Tides Restaurant, the Bell office address is 46591 Expedition Drive (Suite 101), Lexington Park, MD 20653. This location provides civilian and government personnel a convenient place to meet without the need for base access. The 7500 square foot facility is designed to host multiple conferences and meetings utilizing a main and two smaller conference rooms.

Under the leadership of John Buyers, an aerospace professional with 31 years in Contracts and Program Management at Bell Helicopter, the Bell Patuxent River office has a combined 145 years of aviation experience and is currently staffed by Mark Harrison (Business), Bruce Goodley (Technical), Jeff Gay (Flight Test and Manufacturing), Ajay Sehgal (Six Sigma Black Belt), and Noel Griffin (Office Manager).

The main conference room is capable of comfortably seating thirty-five to forty attendees, while additional seating is available in the remaining two conference rooms (sixteen to twenty people each). All three rooms feature state-of-the-art communications and are configured to provide optimal audio/video linkage for Webex and conferencing purposes. Twelve cubicles provide desk and communications support to visitors.

A kitchen on the premises, nearby restaurants and catering services provide support for working meals and refreshments.
