New - Jacobsen Turf Groomers For Light Fairway Mowers

September 04, 2007

September, 4 2007 - The new Jacobsen Turf Groomer for the 178mm (7”) diameter cutting units on the LF range of fairway mowers uses Jacobsen's exclusive design to deliver exceptional turf grooming in an easy to use and robust package.

This new turf groomer offers several improvements when compared to the current design being used on the LF3400 with 128mm (5”) diameter cutting units. The reels can be sharpened, in-situ, without removing the groomer and all adjustment points are accessible from the front of the reel assembly. The roller is continually cleaned, even when the groomer is raised and out of the operating position thereby ensuring a cleaner finish.

The lubrication points are located on the end of the shafts for easy maintenance and durability is enhanced by the use of a strong micro V drive belt, which will not break should the unit strike an obstruction.

The entire unit is attached to the cutting head using just four bolts and the reduced roller base allows it to follow ground contours more effectively than competitor products.

The new Turf Groomer has been designed for simplicity and reliability, with large six-point cutting blades manufactured from tempered spring steel, to make the task of grooming as easy as possible.

The vertical cutting action of the Jacobsen Turf Groomer stands the grass leaf up to expose more leaf surface which ensures a cleaner cut and better photosynthesis. This encourages a healthier, deeper root system and an improved tolerance to stress.

Jacobsen has made it easier than ever to enhance the look, finish and health of fairways around the world.
