Textron Tees Up Robust Offerings at Golf Industry Show

February 22, 2007
Providence, RI – February 22, 2007 – Underscoring its widespread presence in the golf industry, Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) will showcase a robust line-up of products and services from its world-class golf brands, including E-Z-GO, Jacobsen and Textron Financial Corporation, at this week's Golf Industry Show (GIS) in Anaheim, California. Among these are a host of offerings for golf management industries looking to navigate the course, maintain the grounds, and even a way to finance a golf operation or equipment needed for the business.

Lewis B. Campbell, chairman, president and CEO, Textron Inc. commented, "Choosing a Textron company to satisfy a golfing requirement opens the doors to customers who may have more than one need. No matter which Textron business a customer chooses to work with, they can be sure that they will receive a superior product and service that is focused on the customer."

Whether a customer is interested in transportation, course maintenance or financing, Textron's golf-related companies offer some of the most popular products in the world and can be seen exhibiting together at booth 6200 at GIS. The Textron booth theme, "One Vision. . . From Club to Green" will highlight:

E-Z-GO

E-Z-GO will spotlight the new PowerWise® QE high-frequency battery charger. The PowerWise QE is a breakthrough in charger technology and electric car battery management. The new charger features single-unit, solid-state design and LED operation indicator, weighs a mere nine pounds, and reduces charging time by 15 percent or more. E-Z-GO also will feature the enhanced MPT 1200 Refresher® vehicle that features additional space for beverage dispensing and dry storage. GIS attendees will have the opportunity to see other models from the E-Z-GO line of golf cars, including cars for bringing golfers around the course and turf maintenance, and personal golf cars to meet almost any transportation need. E-Z-GO is the world's leading manufacturer of vehicles for golf courses and can be reached at www.ezgo.com.

Jacobsen

Jacobsen will highlight the Eclipse™ 122 F, the new standard in tournament quality-cut walking greens mower that provides 50 percent more float than the competition, meaning it will not scalp undulating greens and contours on the course. As the pioneer of the industry's first groomer, Jacobsen will introduce the new Turf Groomer® that fits all new and existing Jacobsen fairway mowers with seven-inch diameter reels. The PerformAire™ 60 and the PerformAire™ 80, two new additions to the company's aerator line, offer the flexibility to vent or aerate large areas of turf in a very short amount of time. Finally, the next generation of the MAG System™ with stronger magnets for a firmer hold allows superintendents and maintenance professionals to keep a sharp MAG Knife® on their equipment at all times for the best quality-of-cut. Jacobsen offers a full line of turf-care products for golf courses, resort communities, sporting venues and municipalities, and can be reached at www.jacobsen.com.

In addition, Ransomes Jacobsen Limited, a unit of Jacobsen's located in Ipswich, England, will host over 150 customers from Europe during GIS. The customers plan on participating in show activities as well as a series of focus group sessions to obtain input on product development and customer requirements.
