HeliNiugini Takes Delivery of First of Two Bell 407 Helicopters

March 25, 2008
Fort Worth, TX - March 25, 2008 - Bell Helicopter, a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company, announced the recent delivery of the first of two Bell 407 helicopters to HeliNiugini, a long-term Bell customer operating in Papua New Guinea (PNG).

HeliNiugini have been flying 206L's for over 20 years and anticipate the 407's will enable the work done in support of seismic research, oil and gas exploration and gold mining to be done at a higher altitude and with shorter cycle times.

Grant Smith, chief executive officer of HeliNiugini stated, "Bell helicopters have definitely been the machine of choice with all operators in PNG for many years with 206 Longranger winning out over others primarily because of the superior tail rotor authority at altitudes of 7000 feet DA and above. We see the 407 continuing this dominance."

Glenn Murray, regional sales manager for Papua New Guinea said, "We visit with our customers to see how they use their helicopters and quickly experience first hand how their livelihood is so dependant on our products. This makes you want to ensure they get the right product and the level of support to keep these aircraft in the air. I'm proud of the personal commitment Bell makes to its customers."
