Cessna Delivers Citation Mustang to Egypt's EAA

November 16, 2009
Dubai - November 16, 2009 - Cessna Aircraft Company, a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company, announced today at the Dubai Airshow the delivery of the first of four Citation Mustang business jets to the Egyptian Aviation Academy (EAA). The remaining three Mustangs in the order will also be delivered this month.

EAA now becomes the first pilot training organization in the Middle East to offer Cessna’s entry-level jet. EAA’s Misr Flying College is the oldest established flying school in the Middle East and has chosen the Mustang following successful experience of operating the Cessna 172 as a training aircraft.

General Pilot Hassan M. Hassan, chairman and chief executive officer of EAA, said: “Introducing the Mustang is the next step in our strategy to provide world-class training services to our customers across the Middle East and eastern Mediterranean.”

Trevor Esling, Cessna’s vice president, International Sales, added: “We’ve now delivered more than 250 Mustangs since the aircraft entered service in April 2007. The reviews are fantastic, with high marks from the field for performance and value. This delivery to EAA underlines the suitability of the aircraft for pilot training operations.”

The Mustang is now certified in 60 countries. The worldwide Mustang fleet has accumulated more than 55,000 flight hours. The six-place aircraft has a top speed of 340 knots (630 kilometers per hour) and a service ceiling of 41,000 feet (12,497 meters).
