Cessna Parts Distribution Now Offers iTowbot Remote Control Aircraft Towing Unit

July 27, 2009
Oshkosh, WI - July 27, 2009 - Cessna Aircraft Company, a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company, announced today at the Experimental Aircraft Association’s annual week-long conference - AirVenture 2009 - it now offers the Trace iTowbot remote-controlled aircraft towing unit through Cessna Parts Distribution and through its network of authorized service facilities.

“We are very happy to have the iTowbot as part of our product range,” said Peter Wilkinson, vice president, Cessna Parts Distribution. “It’s capable of handling all our single-engine piston aircraft and many of our Citations such as the Citation Mustang and Citation CJ series. It’s going to be beneficial not only to owner-operators, but also to flying clubs, fixed base operators and service facilities.”

The iTowbot is a remote control aircraft towing unit that allows one person to move an aircraft up to 30,000 pounds (heavy duty version), operating the iTowbot from any vantage point, reducing the risk of damage to the aircraft. The iTowbot measures a mere 38 inches wide by 46 inches long and 12 inches high.

The iTowbot is produced by Trace Engines L.P. of Midland, Texas, and can be viewed at Trace’s exhibit at AirVenture 2009 or at www.tracetowbots.com.
