Cessna Celebrates the 50th Anniversary of the Model 210

Oshkosh, WI – July 26, 2010 –Cessna Aircraft Company, a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company, is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Model 210 at the Experimental Aircraft Association’s annual week-long conference – AirVenture 2010.

The Cessna Model 210 was built over the span of three decades with a total of more than 9,200 delivered. The Model 210 was built from 1960-1986, with the last few delivered in early 1987.

Cessna introduced this single-engine, high wing, four-place airplane with retractable landing gear in 1959. There were many versions of the popular Model 210 introduced over the years. Cessna gave it the name “Centurion” in 1964 with the introduction of the Model 210D.

The turbocharged Centurion was introduced in 1966 and the pressurized version introduced in 1978.
