Cessna Hosts International Military Officers

August 03, 2010

Wichita, KS – August 3, 2010 – Cessna Aircraft Company, a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company, will host a group of 114 military officers from around the world August 4 for a facility tour and product presentation as part of the Department of Defense Field Studies Program of the United States Army Command and General Staff Officer Course at Fort Leavenworth, Kan.

"This is a great opportunity to show allied military leaders an example of the aviation work done in Wichita, one of the few aerospace industry clusters in the world," said Bill Williams, Cessna manager of Government and Special Missions Programs.

This is the 14th year Cessna has hosted the class. Through the field studies program, students visit and view examples of U.S. economic and business interests, judicial systems, local, state and federal government systems and educational systems.

Many of the course graduates become heads of state, cabinet ministers, ambassadors, chiefs of staff, general officers or other key leaders in their home countries.
