Cessna to Release CJ4 Expert Maintenance System

October 18, 2010

Atlanta, GA – October 18, 2010 – Cessna Aircraft Company, a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company, announced today it will release a maintenance troubleshooting program for the Citation CJ4 next month.

The expert system program, run from a disk or from the Internet, greatly reduces the time it takes for Citation maintenance technicians to diagnosis the cause of an alert from the Engine Indicating and Crew Alerting System through a simplified, intuitive process based on the specific EICAS alert. The CJ4 Expert System is supplied with each new Citation CJ4 and is available for other Citation maintenance providers through Cessna Customer Service.

The system is indexed by the specific EICAS alerts and provides the technician with key information along with supporting, simplified system schematics to shorten repair time. The system is also used by many customers as a maintenance training tool for aircraft systems.

Authorized users or subscribers can run the program from a disk supplied by Cessna or directly from Cessna’s secure support website. For more information, contact Cessna Customer Care at +1.316.517.5800 or customercare@cessna.textron.com.
