AAI Wins Additional $11.5 Million in JSECST Orders from U.S. Air Force

HUNT VALLEY, Md., May 09, 2011 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- AAI Test & Training, an operating unit of Textron Systems, a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company, announced today that it has received three separate contract modifications from the U.S. Air Force for production of the Joint Service Electronic Combat Systems Tester (JSECST). The contract modifications from Robins Air Force Base in Georgia are for a total of 32 JSECST systems, valued at $11.5 million. Designed to quickly and accurately test electronic warfare (EW) and avionics systems for mission readiness, these 32 new JSECST systems are intended for the Air Force and Navy, as well as for allied nations via foreign military sales.

AAI's JSECST is utilized by every branch of the U.S. military, and has been designated the standard flight line EW test system of the U.S. Department of Defense. In fact, the JSECST is utilized with aircraft platforms including the A-10 Thunderbolt II®, F-15 Eagle®, F-16 Fighting Falcon®, F/A-18 Hornet®, E-2 Advanced Hawkeye®, E-6 Mercury, CV-22 Osprey®, MH-47 Chinook® and MH-60 Seahawk®, as well as the ALQ-131 and ALQ-184 Self Protection Jammer Pods.
