Textron Marine & Land Systems Promotes Brian Feser to Vice President, Strategy

Textron Marine & Land Systems, an operating unit of Textron Systems, a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company, today announced the promotion of Brian Feser to the position of vice president, Strategy.

In his new role Feser is responsible for externally focused strategy and business development at both the field and Department of Defense levels, with specific objectives for developing a unified strategic direction for commercial, military and international marketing and sales. He reports to Tom Walmsley, Textron Marine & Land Systems’ senior vice president and general manager.

"Brian brings an ideal mix of industry and military experience to this position, and will play an important role in developing the operational structure and business strategies that position Textron Marine & Land Systems for success in pursuit of new programs, and in our efforts to maintain strong relationships with our current customers," said Walmsley.

A retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel, Feser was previously the company’s director of Afghanistan operations, responsible for operational, training and sustainment requirements related to fielding Armored Security Vehicles to the Afghanistan National Army.

Prior to joining Textron Marine & Land Systems, Feser was an executive vice president and president of the Contract Services Group for Goverline, a transportation logistics, supply and fulfillment company serving businesses and government entities. He also previously served as executive vice president for Policy, Legislation and Governmental Affairs for the Wounded Warrior Project in Washington, D.C., and vice president of CSS Alliance, Protection Group, an international security company with operations in the United States, Iraq and Africa.

Feser earned master’s degrees in human resources and business management from Central Michigan University, as well as a master’s in national security and strategic studies from the Naval War College. He also is a graduate of Towson University, with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and sociology.
