Bell Helicopter Announces New Chief Financial Officer

May 30, 2013

Fort Worth, TX - May 30, 2012 - Bell Helicopter, a Textron Inc. company (NYSE: TXT), announced today that Al Vetere has assumed the role of Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Formerly vice president, Financial Military Programs at Bell Helicopter, Vetere brings more than 30 years of experience and a strong reputation for developing talent to the position.

"We are honored to have Al stepping up as our new CFO. His vast knowledge of finance and business management as well as military contracts, combined with his negotiating ability and his talent for building trust and confidence with the customer are exceptional and make him the ideal candidate for this role. I am confident Al will build on the solid foundation already set and take our finance team to the next level," said John Garrison, Bell Helicopter's president and CEO.

Vetere has worked closely with Bell Helicopter's executive leadership team over the last four years. He has been a large part of the success the company has achieved recently, leading some of the company's largest contract negotiations with U.S. government. Vetere's leadership helped Bell Helicopter secure two multi-year contracts on the Bell-Boeing V-22 Osprey program and he has been a driving force behind business process improvements across the military programs.

Vetere has more than 30 years of finance and accounting experience both in aerospace and defense and other technology-based industries including BAE Systems and Texas Instruments. He holds a bachelor's degree in Finance from the University of Texas and a master's degree in Finance from the University of North Texas.

Bell Helicopter's former CFO, Tony Viotto will retire at the end of 2013. For the next six months, Viotto will remain an integral part of Bell Helicopter's leadership team as executive vice president, Integrated Business Planning and Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning. In this role, Viotto will help set up a new planning organization within Integrated Operations to better align resources around business priorities with a focus on customer demand.
