Enjoy a Round of Golf and Help Local Youth at the 2013 E-Z-GO® Golf Classic

September 18, 2013

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Looking for a chance to combine a fine day of golf with an opportunity to help local youth? Look no further than the 19th annual E-Z-GO Golf Classic, to be held Oct. 14, 2013 at The Reserve Club at Woodside Plantation in Aiken, S.C.

All proceeds from the event benefit Boys and Girls Clubs of the CSRA and The First Tee of Aiken. In its history, the E-Z-GO Golf Classic has raised more than $850,000 for area youth.

"We invite everyone to enjoy a day on the course at the 2013 E-Z-GO Golf Classic," said E-Z-GO President Kevin Holleran. "It's an excellent opportunity to enjoy a round of golf at an exclusive, beautiful golf course, while helping organizations that teach our community's children important life skills and lessons and keep them out of harm's way.

"The E-Z-GO Golf Classic is one of the most important initiatives that E-Z-GO and its employees perform each year," Holleran said. "Our company was born here, and our employees raise families here, so it is vital to E-Z-GO that the youth in our community have access to programs like those offered by Boys and Girls Clubs of the CSRA and The First Tee of Aiken. We are proud and humbled to support these organizations and their mission."

The E-Z-GO Golf Classic will tee off with a 9 a.m. shotgun start and use a Captain's Choice scoring format. The tournament will be played on the Reserve Club's Nicklaus Design layout, named one of "America's Best Courses" by Golf Digest. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be provided to participants.

Registration for a four-person team is $800; golfers of all skill levels are welcome. Those who are unable to play, but still wish to support the event, can choose to sponsor a hole or make a contribution.
