TRU Simulation and Training A320 Full Flight Simulator Earns CASA Qualification for Ansett Aviation Training Facility

Ansett Aviation Training unveils TRU A320 FFS™ in its Tullamarine facility

ORLANDO, FLORIDA, WORLD AVIATION TRAINING CONFERENCE AND TRADESHOW–April 22, 2015—TRU Simulation + Training, a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company, announced today that Ansett Aviation Training has successfully received Level D qualification from the Australian Civil Aviation Authorities (CASA) for its A320 FFS X™ Full Flight Simulator.

This state-of-the-art simulator joins a fleet of 11 full flight simulators and is being used to train pilots from Tigerair Australia among other airlines in the Asia-Pacific region. The simulator features an electric motion system and a TRU 200⁰ x 40⁰ field of view (FoV) visual display system.

According to data reported by the International Air Transport Association, total global aircraft demand increased 5.9 percent year-over-year in 2014. The qualification and addition of the TRU A320 FFS X to their fleet further positions us to answer the global aviation industry’s growing need for pilot training.
