PROVIDENCE, R.I. – AUGUST 18, 2015 – Textron Systems, a business of Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT), announced today the promotion of Daryl Madden to senior vice president and general manager of its Geospatial Solutions business. He reports directly to Textron Systems President and CEO Ellen Lord and serves as a member of the Textron Systems Executive Leadership Team.
In this role, Madden sets the strategic path for the Geospatial Solutions business, supervises development of new products and oversees the execution of customer programs. The business provides a wide-range of products and services for visualizing, interpreting and managing geospatial data in ways that improve situational understanding and deliver actionable intelligence to the user.
“I’m confident Daryl will further enhance the position of our Geospatial Solutions business as an industry-leading provider of geospatial analysis, visualization and data management solutions to U.S. and international customers in both defense and commercial markets,” said Lord.
Madden’s promotion comes after nearly 16 years of contributions in a variety of assignments with Textron Systems. He joined the organization as a senior software engineer and served in roles of increasing responsibility, including product manager for the flagship RemoteViewTM geospatial intelligence analysis product, director of Geospatial Engineering, director of Advanced Concepts, and most recently as vice president of Advanced Systems.
Prior to joining Textron Systems, Madden held a number of program management positions during 13 years with TRW. He also previously served as a software engineering principal for both Titan Systems and SAIC.
Madden earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Boston College. He also is a graduate of Textron’s Executive Leadership Program.
