The innovative new WorkhorseTM Bending and Threading Station is an all-in-one workstation<

ROCKFORD, Ill. (August 23, 2017) – Greenlee Textron Inc., a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company, launches the Workhorse, a versatile all-in-one bending and threading workstation, which allows the operator to eliminate wasted time spent moving between work areas. With quick and easy mobility, the Workhorse Bending and Threading Station can be transported with a bender and threader mounted from one location to another, eliminating need for set up.

“For decades, industry professionals have been forced to use multiple work areas to bend, thread and cut conduit, which is labor intensive and can be dangerous,” said Wayne King, Greenlee product manager for storage and material handling. “Workhorse eliminates the hassle of moving between work stations. Everything is right where you need it.”

The Workhorse Bending and Threading Station is customizable and offers features to increase jobsite functionality, mobility and ease of use. The new mobile workstation is designed with forklift pockets on three sides and includes eight-inch casters to increase maneuverability across the jobsite. The exclusive built-in conduit pipe support used in conjunction with the bend tray checker allows for quick and easy checking of 90-degree bends and conduit measurements. Locked storage space can hold bending shoes, bender and threader accessories as well as other tools or materials required to complete the job.

Additional features and benefits include:

  • Mount for chain-type pipe vise that allows for easy installation
  • Oil catch for a cleaner workstation with the use of RIDGID® 300 Complete
  • Open storage space for easy access for daily use tools
  • Cord wrap for organized stowing of extension and/or threader power cords
  • Document holder for stowing important product manuals
  • Through-holes for electrical cord pathways and safe consolidation

“Not only does Workhorse promote a lean workflow, but it is ergonomically designed for optimal user comfort,” said Jacob Thomas, Greenlee ergonomic specialist. “Workhorse has raised platforms, which places the workspace at an optimal, ergonomic height, further reducing risk of musculoskeletal disorders that can occur. The push bar on the workhorse is set at the optimal pushing height, reducing strain on arms and back during transport. Additionally, the cart is designed with multiple storage areas and varied heights; this action eliminates lifting from the ground and reduces the risk of lower back strains.”

The Workhorse Bending and Threading Station is compatible with current models of Greenlee Electric Benders (555® Series, 854DX and 855GX) and the RothenbergerTM 2SE and 50R pipe threaders as well as the RIDGID® Model 300 Complete and RIDGID® 300 Compact pipe threaders.

The Workhorse Bending and Threading Station (WK100) is now in stock and available for shipment. To locate the nearest Greenlee dealer, visit greenlee.com/where-to-buy. For more information about the new Workhorse Bending and Threading Station, visit greenlee.com/Workhorse.
