Textron Aviation delivers first Citations for Guernsey AOC operations in Channel Islands

May 29, 2018

GENEVA (May 29, 2018) – Textron Aviation Inc., a Textron Inc. (NYSE:TXT) company, today announced it has delivered a Cessna Citation M2 and a Cessna Citation CJ3+ to ORTA°C (AOC) Ltd. — the first business to operate Citation aircraft under a Guernsey Air Operators Certificate (AOC) in the Channel Islands.

The ORTA°C operations team manages the aircraft on behalf of its clients, and will use the aircraft for international commercial charter.

“These deliveries are evidence of the increasing demand for general aviation in the Channel Islands,” said Tom Perry, regional vice president of European Sales. “We are thrilled to have ORTA°C join the Citation family, and we trust that the M2 and CJ3+ — renowned for their reliability, efficiency and comfort — will be phenomenal assets to further strengthen the region’s growing commercial charter market.”

Representatives from ORTA°C accepted delivery of the aircraft earlier this month at Textron Aviation headquarters in Wichita, Kansas.

“On behalf of our clients, ORTA°C is delighted to have taken delivery of two new Cessna aircraft — a Citation M2 and a Citation CJ3+,” said Tobi Mathews, ORTA°C managing director. “The purchasing process has been seamless, and we have been exceptionally pleased with the sales and technical support that we have received from the excellent team at Textron Aviation, at every level.”

About ORTA°C
ORTA°C is a luxury aircraft management company, headquartered in the British Channel Island of Jersey, and is uniquely positioned, both geographically and legislatively, to manage each client’s aviation requirements, no matter where in the world their aircraft is based.

Providing specialist aircraft acquisition, delivery and registration solutions and operational structures, ORTA°C is one of only five companies in the world to have been granted an Air Operator Certificate (AOC) for International Charter by the Director of Civil Aviation of the Bailiwick of Guernsey, known as 2-REG. This means that ORTA°C is able to assist owners in offsetting fixed and operational costs, by making their aircraft available for third-party, commercial charter. This charter facility is personally managed and controlled by the ORTA°C team and is tailor-made to suit the individual requirements of each client.

The combined knowledge and experience of ORTA°C’s directors provide its clients with access to a unique skillset within the aviation industry — comprehensively spanning flying, operational, financial, regulatory and legal expertise. Each with over 30 years of experience in aviation, ORTA°C’s directors’ extensive technical capabilities enable owners to outsource the day-to-day running of their aircraft — clients are encouraged to think of ORTA°C as their own expert, in-house, 24/7 flight department.

About the Citation M2
Perfect for corporate, charter or private use, the Citation M2 features a spacious interior with excellent in-cabin technologies, updated touch-screen avionics and two powerful Williams FJ44 engines, facilitating cruise speeds of over 400 knots. The aircraft is designed for single-pilot operation and features Garmin G3000 avionics and seating for seven.

About the Citation CJ3+
The single-pilot Citation CJ3+ is a premier business tool with best-in-class acquisition and operating costs, seating for nine passengers, up to 1,000 lbs. of baggage capacity and a maximum range of 2,040 nautical miles. In addition to the aircraft’s impressive combination of range, speed, runway performance and operating economics, the CJ3+ incorporates G3000 touch-screen avionics and high-speed internet capabilities for a more connected, intuitive flight experience.
