Scott A. Ernest, President and CEO, Textron Industrial Segment and Textron Specialized Vehicles Inc.

As president and chief executive officer, Scott Ernest is the leader of the Textron Industrial Segment and Textron Specialized Vehicles Inc. Scott joined the Textron family in 2011, and was previously the president and chief executive officer of Textron Aviation. Under Scott’s leadership, Cessna Aircraft Company experienced a surge in new product investment, resulting in the announcement and subsequent entry into service of the Cessna Citation Latitude, Citation X+, Citation Sovereign+, Citation CJ3+, Citation M2, Cessna TTx, and Cessna Grand Caravan EX as well as numerous product enhancements across the full family of products. He also presided over the global expansion of the service center network and the integration of Beechcraft and Cessna operations into the newly-established Textron Aviation segment.

Prior to joining Cessna, Scott had a 29-year career at GE Aviation. Scott left GE Aviation as vice president and general manager of Global Supply Chain, a role he accepted in 2003. Previously, Scott was vice president and general manager of Global Operations for engine services, having been appointed to that position, as well as being named an officer of General Electric Company, in 2001.

An active supporter of United Way, Scott has led several campaign initiatives throughout his career both at the company level and for broader United Way community campaigns. Scott also serves on several community and industry boards and committees, including the Boys & Girls Clubs of South Central Kansas.

Scott has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Akron and a master's degree in engineering from the University of Cincinnati.
