PARIS AIR SHOW–Paris, France, June 15, 2015—TRU Simulation + Training Inc., a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company, announced today that its new ProFlight® satellite pilot training center in Lutz, Florida has successfully earned Part 142 certification from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The new East Coast center will initially offer training for the Cessna Citation CJ1/2/3 series aircraft, with future plans to expand training to include nine additional Cessna and Beechcraft models. The first of the expanded offerings will include entitlement training for new Beechcraft King Air 250, 350i/ER and C90GTx turboprops outfitted with the Pro Line Fusion avionics suite; entitlement training is slated for availability prior to the new model deliveries, which are expected to extend from third quarter 2015 to the second quarter of 2016. The Citation CJ4 programs are expected to immediately follow.
ProFlight’s East Coast training center—located just 15 miles from Tampa, Florida—will mirror its West Coast counterpart. On both coasts, ProFlight training features highly individualized instruction using a combination of learning modalities. These include industry-leading interactive courseware, an advanced proprietary NextGen flight training device, and a high-fidelity, state-of-the-art Level D full flight simulator—as well as classroom training from experienced, current pilot instructors. In the new East Coast location, ProFlight will offer a mix of courses: initial aircraft and initial type rating, recurrent, transition, differences/indoctrination for Pro Line Fusion King Air models, and enrichment, as well as ProFlight’s online CJ Current 365® continuous currency courses.
