The new SYNCRO feature eliminates inaccurate crimping from mismatched dies
Rockford, IL -- Greenlee Textron, a

crimpers with the K05-SYNCRO crimping tool.
This innovative tool is designed to improve productivity and reduce
poor wire connections caused by inaccurate crimping.
“This upgraded tool improves the
dimensional accuracy of crimps by ensuring crimping dies match with each
rotation of the dial” said Jae K. Lee, Greenlee
Product Manager for Hand Tools. “Additionally, the upgraded handle
design fits better in the hand and the slip guard creates a more secure
grip throughout the crimping process.” The K05-SYNCRO reduces rework on
the job with no more wasted time troubleshooting
poor connections or throwing out poorly crimped lugs. The new
K05-SYNCRO is an easy to use, intuitive tool that crimps 8AWG – 1/0 AWG
Copper.
The newly added SYNCRO feature
greatly improves the die selection process reducing die setup time by
50-percent and eliminates crimping errors from
mismatched dies. Die size is indicated using color coding on the dies
and a lug sizer indicator on the dial. The new dial feature allows for
easy, one-handed die change, rotating both dies at the same time while
providing accuracy in matching die set selection.
The Greenlee K-Series K05 crimping
tool provides the broadest range of UL classification in the market and
is classified with the lugs of seven different
manufacturers including UL and cUL with Anderson, Blackburn, Burndy, ILSCO, Panduit, Thomas and Betts and Penn-Union copper connectors.
