Cessna Makes Owning and Operating a Citation Easier

October 11, 2004
Las Vegas, NV - October 11, 2004 - Cessna has unveiled a new line of one-of-a-kind customer support programs that makes owning a Citation business jet easier and more affordable than any other business jet on the market today. Each of the new "CES" products and programs has been designed using input from cross-functional disciplines at Cessna, the FAA, and Citation owners and operators. These industry leading programs are available exclusively for Cessna customers.

CESPLAN

CESPLAN is an individualized airplane inspection program that makes it possible for Citation operators to tailor their maintenance programs to their individual flight program needs. Customers enrolled in CESPLAN are able to reorder, or shuffle, the order in which they receive maintenance. Ultimately, this program results in reduced downtime and frequency of trips to authorized Citation service facilities.

CESPLAN is based on chapters 4 and 5 of aircraft maintenance manuals, which provide guidance for the recurring maintenance and airworthiness requirements for the airplane. CESPLAN meets 14 CFR Part 91.409 (f)(3) as a recommended manufactures maintenance program and will be sustained by Cessna as such.

Each Citation operator's CESPLAN is one-of-a-kind. All CESPLANs are designed by Cessna experts after an in-depth study of the operator's aircraft usage, current maintenance practices, and future flight schedules.

Cessna is the only manufacturer to offer this type of customized maintenance program. Customers interested in CESPLAN may receive a free quote about the program by contacting Cessna.

CESVIEW II

CESVIEW II offers operators an electronic technical manual system through CD or DVD. Information integrated in CESVIEW II includes maintenance manuals, illustrated parts catalog, wiring diagram manual, component maintenance manual, structural repair manual, illustrated tool and equipment manual, nondestructive testing manual, active service bulletins, and service letters.

CESVIEW II was unveiled for the first time at the 2004 National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) convention. Currently, it is available to Citation X and Excel operators. Other Citation models will have access to CESVIEW II throughout 2005. The initial CESVIEW II price is $2,000, which includes one year of revision service. The annual revision price is $1,100 after the first year.

CESCOM

CESCOM is Cessna's computerized maintenance tracking service. It tracks the information required to produce status reports, history reports and projected due reports. CESCOM provides operators with numerous benefits including the ability to predict support inventory more efficiently and economically, reduce aircraft maintenance downtime, and simplify their aircraft budget planning information.

CESCOM supports nearly 90 percent of the Citation fleet, which currently includes over 4,100 aircraft. Although CESCOM is available in several formats, the most popular format is online. With over 3,000 individual users, the online format is the most successful system of its kind on the internet.

Citation operators also reap long-term benefits from the use of CESCOM. Cessna uses the CESCOM information to continuously monitor the condition of the fleet. It keeps track of "fleet leaders," in terms of hourly utilization, and monitors high time aircraft and anticipates any possible problems before they occur on the balance of the fleet.

Citation owners and operators may purchase CESCOM for $2,000 per year. Fleet and multi-year subscription discounts are available.
