Cessna Rolls Out CPCALC for Excel, Encore, and CJ2

October 11, 2004
Las Vegas, NV - October 11, 2004 - Cessna's Citation Performance Calculator (CPCalc) is one of Cessna's most popular flight planning tools. The calculator is an approved FAA certified electronic performance program that simplifies flight planning. Cessna rolled-out the CPCalc to Citation X operators in October 2003, Citation Encore operators in August 2004, and Citation Excel operators in October 2004. Citation CJ2 operators will have access to the electronic flight planning tool by year-end. They will be followed by Citation CJ1 and CitationJet operators early in 2005.

The CPCalc is a Windows-based program that allows pilots to performdo detailed electronic flight planning in approximately 3-5 minutes, versus the current method using10-15 minutes necessary using current paper Airplane Flight Manual (AFM) tables. This user-friendly calculator determinesmaximum takeoff, climb, approach, and landing data for any givenspecific conditions. The operator simply enters the airport identifier, current weather conditions and aircraft configuration. With the click of a button, the calculator provides the pilot with the takeoff performance, takeoff speed, departure, climb gradients, flight path, landing distance, landing performance and landing speeds for the specified weather conditions, and airport location and aircraft configuration.

The CPCalc is unique because it is FAA-approvedcertified and meets guidelines for the certification, airworthiness and operational approval of devices such as electronic flight bag computing devices.

The introductory purchase price for the CPCalc is $350, with a $250 annual subscription fee.
