Cessna Briefs Customers on New, All-Glass Avionics

Wichita, KS - July 21, 2004 - Cessna's current and future customers will have an opportunity to attend a free educational forum to learn about Cessna's new Garmin G1000 avionics panel, which is now offered in Cessna's single engine products as a NAV III option. Cessna's G1000 educational forum will be held at EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, on Thursday, July 29, 2004 at 8:30 am, and Saturday, July 31, 2004, at 11:30 am. The forum is sponsored by the General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA).

This is the first time Cessna has conducted a Garmin G1000 forum at EAA AirVenture. It is designed to orient pilots with the Garmin G1000. Attendees will become familiar with the jet-like avionics suite, which integrates all primary flight, navigation, communication, terrain, traffic, weather and engine sensor data on two large 10.4 inch glass, high resolution, XGA technology display units. By the end of the forum, attendees will have a basic knowledge of the Garmin G1000, and an understanding of how it will ease pilot workload and increase safety of flight.

Cessna's G1000 forum will be presented by Kirby Ortega, Cessna's flight training supervisor and the FAA's 2002 flight instructor of the year.
