Oshkosh, WI (EAA AirVenture, Booth 177-180) – July 25-31, 2005 – Lycoming Engines will offer free training sessions in piston engine care and maintenance at its booth during EAA AirVenture. The training schedule will include two daily demonstrations in general maintenance procedures and will include instruction on engine assembly and disassembly.
"As a premier manufacturer of piston engines for general aviation, we're proud to offer this kind of consumer training," said Lycoming's vice president and general manager Ian Walsh. "The AirVenture show is the perfect venue for this type of seminar. It's an opportunity to interact directly with customers but more importantly, it's an opportunity to educate customers about the importance of recurring and non-recurring maintenance of their engines. The more you know about your engine, the better performance you can achieve with your aircraft."
