Brings Bell Fleet to 44
HELI-EXPO 2005 - Anaheim, CA - February 5, 2005 - Rotorcraft Leasing Company, LLC, has undertaken a major fleet expansion program, with the recent purchase contract for 6 new Bell Model 206L-4 LongRangers. The addition of the six new aircraft will expand their all Bell fleet to 44 helicopters.
Rotorcraft Leasing, headquartered in Broussard, LA, is a major Gulf of Mexico offshore helicopter operator, servicing offshore production and exploration facilities in the Gulf of Mexico. Their current fleet consists of 16 JetRangers, 18 LongRangers, 2 407s and 2 412s, making Rotorcraft Leasing the third largest helicopter fleet operating in the Gulf of Mexico.
Rodger Bagwell, a senior partner in Rotorcraft Leasing, commented on the deal, "The LongRanger provides us with reliability, payload, and competitive cost of operation that is unbeatable. It will be a critical part of our fleet for many years to come."
Lloyd Marks, general partner, and founder of Rotorcraft Leasing added that the 206L-4 "is unmatched by any competing single in it's ability to cost effectively service our customers in the Gulf of Mexico. Our customers love the reliability provided by the L-4, almost as much as our mechanics do." Bell's Vice President of US Sales, Anthony Moreland, observed, "Multi-ship sales like this from loyal customers such as Rotorcraft Leasing will allow Bell to continue our absolute dominance in the Gulf of Mexico single engine marketplace. Rotorcraft Leasing and Bell have a bright future together."
The six LongRangers will be delivered in the third and fourth quarters of 2005, and will enter offshore service in the Gulf of Mexico following the addition of mission specific equipment at Rotorcraft's primary maintenance facility in Broussard, LA.
