Cessna Aircraft Company Names Doug Oliver Communications Director

Wichita, KS - January 25, 2006 - Cessna Aircraft Company, a subsidiary of Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT), has named Doug Oliver director of communications, effective Feb. 6. He will report to Cessna Vice President of Communications Robert Stangarone.

In this role, Oliver will have day-to-day responsibility for internal communications and media relations. He will be based at Cessna's headquarters in Wichita, Kan.

Oliver has more than 16 years experience in aerospace communications, most recently at Embraer where he served as communications director for North America. Prior to that, he was media relations director and customer relations director at Fairchild Dornier in the United States and Germany, and served in several global media relations posts at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Co.

A native of Charleston, S.C., Oliver holds a bachelor's in journalism from Georgia State University, and worked for a number of daily and weekly newspapers in Atlanta, Ga.
