Ipswich, United Kingdom - August 1, 2006 -The E-Z-GO division of Ipswich-based Ransomes Jacobsen Ltd supplied a fleet of 48 electric E-Z-GO shuttle vehicles for use as courtesy transport at the aviation industry's premier showcase recently. Ransomes Jacobsen is a Textron Inc (NYSE: TXT) company.

These courtesy vehicles were supplied through TH White Ltd, Ransomes Jacobsen's local dealer for the area and were used to ferry visitors around Farnborough's impressive site, where over 160 aircraft were on display and almost 1500 exhibitors were display aviation-related products.

One of the stars of the 59th international air show was the Bell-Boeing V-22 Osprey. This tilt-rotor aircraft is manufactured in a joint venture between Bell Helicopters, a significant Textron company and the Boeing Company. It can take off vertically, like a helicopter, then the rotors tilt forward and it flies like a conventional propeller-driven aircraft.

Parent company Textron had a huge presence at the event with a large hospitality chalet manned by over 50 personnel from across the Atlantic.
