Oshkosh, WI - July 28, 2008 – Cessna Aircraft Company, a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company, announced today it will offer the Garmin® FliteLevel Extended Warranty™ for G1000® integrated avionics systems on Cessna Models 172, 182, 206, 208, 350 and 400.
Garmin’s FliteLevel Extended Warranty offers complete system-wide maintenance protection for everything from cockpit displays to remote Line Replaceable Units (LRUs), giving owners comprehensive protection against unexpected product failures when their standard two-year factory warranty expires.
“We’re pleased to offer our retail customers this extended warranty program. We will have representatives at the Cessna exhibit at the Experimental Aircraft Association’s AirVenture 2008 to assist our customers who want to learn more about the program,” said Peter Wilkinson, Cessna’s vice president, Cessna Parts Distribution.
The extended warranty will provide up to a maximum of five years coverage from the original aircraft warranty start date with no flight hour limitations. It will also include the same benefits as the original aircraft warranty - parts, labor at the posted shop rate and freight - and is transferable with the sale of the aircraft to which it applies.
The extended warranty program for propeller-driven Cessnas will be available Sept. 1, 2008, and can be purchased exclusively through the worldwide network of more than 350 independent Cessna authorized service facilities.
