Cessna’s Jack Pelton Honored as 2008 “Influential” Wichitan

Wichita, KS - December 5, 2008 -Cessna Chairman, President and CEO Jack J. Pelton was named one of Wichita’s most influential business leaders for 2008 by the Wichita Business Journal at an event Dec. 4 at Wichita’s Newman University. Cessna Aircraft Company is a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company.

“Jack was selected based on his leadership in expanding Cessna’s product line and global reach, enhancing the company’s impact on our community, and for his contributions to our city, basically making Wichita a better place to live in 2008,” said John Ek, publisher, Wichita Business Journal.

Pelton, a native of California, joined Cessna in 2000 as vice president of Engineering, rising to president and CEO in 2003 and company chairman in 2005.
