Bell Named Number One in Customer Service

Fort Worth, TX - February 19, 2009 – Bell Helicopter, a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company, once again was voted number one in customer service by the readers of Professional Pilot magazine. Ranking at the top in each of the seven categories, Bell has won this honor for the helicopter industry for the 16th consecutive year.

“For the past several years we have renewed our commitment to providing our customers outstanding support and service,” said Danny Maldonado, senior vice president of Customer Support and Chief Services Officer. “We constantly challenge our team to improve the overall customer service experience. They have risen to that challenge and I am extremely proud of our entire global customer support and service team.”

Bell continued to increase its winning margins across the board in the seven categories rated. Bell’s customers rated them first in terms of response time, spares availability, cost of parts, speed in AOG service, tech manuals, tech reps and service satisfaction.

With Bell’s more than 120 customer service facilities in 32 countries, six strategically located supply centers and a multitude of customer support representatives and product support engineers focused on improving responsiveness and lowering direct operating costs, operators around the world are already benefiting.

“We recognize the challenges this past year has had on many of our operators. They have had to do more with less and their missions keep multiplying. In the coming years, it will not be enough to support them only in times of need; at Bell we are committed to finding innovative ways to anticipate our customers’ needs and support them accordingly,” added Maldonado.

Bell’s overall score increased over its 2009 scores, with the largest improvement in the spares availability category.
