Cessna Showcases New Citation Mock-Ups along with Entire Line of Current Production Business Jets at NBAA

October 09, 2011

Las Vegas, NV – October 9, 2011 – Cessna Aircraft Company, a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company, brings a mock-up of its newly unveiled Citation M2 business jet as a centerpiece to its product lineup for the 64th National Business Aviation Association Annual Meeting and Convention.

In addition to the new Citation M2, Cessna’s NBAA exhibit at the Las Vegas Convention Center (Booth #C9044) will feature a new mock-up of the Citation Ten.

The company’s static aircraft display at Henderson Executive Airport (KHND) will feature a full lineup of business jets: Citation Mustang, Citation CJ2+, Citation CJ3, Citation CJ4, Citation XLS+, Citation Sovereign, Citation X (with winglets and Honeywell Primus Elite avionics) and a Citation Encore. Next to the Citation family of jets, Cessna will feature a Grand Caravan with Oasis interior and a high-density seating Grand Caravan, and a 206 Turbo Stationair.

The Citation Service Center adds to the static display with a Cessna Mobile Service Unit and a customer-owned Citation CitationJet updated with the Garmin G1000 avionics package and new interior and paint.

“We have continued to shape Cessna for the market realities of the 21st century by investing in new product development, by investing in our global customer service infrastructure and products and by changing the way we operate the company to be more in tune with the dynamics of the market,” said Cessna President and CEO Scott Ernest. “Most important, we have a world-class team of men and women all focused on customer satisfaction.”

The Citation M2, introduced to the market on Sept. 26, is Cessna’s newest light jet and is scheduled to enter service in 2013. Designed to fill the market niche between the Mustang and the CJ2+, the M2 boasts six-passenger seating, Garmin G3000 avionics, more efficient Williams FJ44 engines for 400 knot dash speed for less than $4.2 million.

Cessna’s exhibit at the Las Vegas Convention Center also features a mock-up of the Citation Ten, introduced at NBAA last year, and configured with the latest version of Cessna’s ClairityTM cabin technology system. The Citation Ten prototype aircraft is nearing completion in Wichita and will have its first flight later this year.

The Caravan and Stationair propeller aircraft exhibited by Cessna represent the versatility of these products in meeting business productivity requirements as well as Cessna’s range of aircraft — from the 162 Skycatcher light sport trainer to the Citation X, the world’s fastest certified civil aircraft.
