October 24, 2014

Fort Worth, TX (October 24, 2014) – Bell Helicopter, a Textron Inc. company (NYSE: TXT), will showcase the newest product on its commercial line, the Bell 505 Jet Ranger XTM in parapublic configuration at the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) in Orlando from October 25-28 in booth #1958.

“The Bell 505 Jet Ranger X offers a highly configurable cabin with superb speed, range and enhanced safety features to better serve our parapublic customers,” said Anthony Moreland, vice president of North American sales. “The Bell 505 has recently completed the first electrical power up of flight test vehicle one, and we are proud to showcase its newest technologies to airborne law enforcement operators who serve and protect their communities.”

IACP features keynote speakers, forums and technical workshops, as well as the largest exhibit hall of products and services in the law enforcement profession.

“IACP is a great place to demonstrate new technologies and offerings we provide such as the fully integrated glass cockpit throughout the Bell Helicopter product line” added Moreland. “The police segment is one of our fastest growing markets in North America, and it’s a great opportunity to meet with our current and future customers.”

The Bell 505 Jet Ranger X is a customer-driven design, blending the proven systems of the Bell 206 with advanced technology and a sleek, modern design. The Bell 505 places safety, performance and affordability at its forefront. The Garmin G1000H Integrated Avionics Suite provides pilots critical flight information at a glance to maximize situational awareness. Pilot workload is further reduced by the Turbomeca Arrius 2R engine with dual channel Full Authority Digital Engine Control (FADEC). The Bell 505 features a high inertia rotor system delivering superior autorotation capabilities. With the ideal combination of speed, range and useful load, the Jet Ranger X is designed to deliver best-in-class performance.
