Textron GSE Introduces Premier TT4000 Tanker Truck

June 03, 2025

CARTERSVILLE, GA – Textron Ground Support Equipment Inc., a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company, introduces its new Premier TT4000 tanker truck, which enables aviation ground handlers to refill active de-icers on the ramp, minimizing downtime and boosting productivity at busy airports.

With a 4,000-gallon capacity, the TT4000 can refill up to three de-icers in a single trip from its twin linked 1,500-gallon (5,678-liter) tanks for de-icing fluid, and 1,000-gallon (3,785-liter) tank for anti-ice fluid. The tanks are built from 12-gauge A304 stainless steel engineered specifically for glycol use, ensuring that fluid can be stored at any temperature.

The TT4000’s pumping system is designed to facilitate rapid refilling of de-icers on the ramp, and can refill a single de-icer in as little as 10 minutes. Its hydraulically driven, centrifugal-style Gorman Rupp de-icing fluid pump moves 200 gallons per minute at 25 PSI. The tanker truck’s anti-ice fluid pump is a self-priming diaphragm pump with positive displacement that transfers fluid at 75 gallons per minute. The unit features separate 25-foot hoses for both de-icing and anti-icing operations, mounted to reels with a 12-volt retraction system for safe and convenient hose management. The TT4000 features a suction-fill system to ease refilling its tanks.

The tanker truck is built on a rugged Freightliner M2 106 commercial-truck chassis and powered by a turbocharged six-cylinder Cummins L9 diesel engine. The unit is governed to a top speed of 30 mph for ramp safety.

“The TT4000 provides Textron GSE customers with a safe, reliable and efficient means to boost ramp productivity, minimize de-icer downtime, and ultimately get passengers and cargo in the air on schedule,” said Morgan Gresens, vice president and general manager, Textron GSE. “It’s another example of how Textron GSE listens to its customers to develop effective solutions to the ground-handling challenges facing today’s aviation industry.”
